Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary

We are seeking a well-rounded Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, performance management, training, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, customer-focused professional who can effectively partner with employees and leadership while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment activities
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, workers' compensation, and other leave programs
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
  • Assist managers with performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and employee development
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support conflict resolution efforts
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Generate HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics
  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and training initiatives
  • Support organizational change management and workforce planning efforts
  • Participate in audits and maintain compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience supporting multiple HR functions within a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, payroll, and benefits administration systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR) preferred
